Reports to : Product Development Manager
THE COMPANY
We are an up & coming world class supply chain management company located in Hangzhou, China. As part of our all encompassing supply chain management service package for sanitary ware clients, we are building a product development team and intend to staff it with quality professionals that can flexibly & satisfactorily respond to any challenging supply chain demands.
JOB PURPOSE
The Project Manager is responsible for acquiring, documenting & aligning all the facts and agreements from initial product development ideas, drawings, prototypes, up to block-mold sample approval by clients； and final release to production with contracted suppliers. He /She is also responsible for setting up, managing and controlling the product development process, working closely with clients, suppliers and project team to ensure clients’ requirements are flawlessly incorporated； assisting the Division to achieve a smooth and efficient product development process.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Planning, scheduling and coordinating, monitoring the processes of all new product development according to the direction from the Product Development Manager.
2. Guiding the development process among various parties and pushing the project forward.
3. Following up with the process of designing, updating periodically and providing suggestions for Product Development Manager’s reference.
4. Revising the plan as appropriate to meet the changing needs and requirements.
5. Developing the product catalogue system including the serial numbers, supplier codes, specifications, certificates, drawings, packaging and label etc.
6. Managing multiple product development schedules and their adjustments, prioritize where necessary.
7. Scheduled visits to the assigned manufacturers following up the progress of new product development projects.
8. Reporting to the Product Development Manger on project progress for further activities to accelerate product development activities.
9. Reviewing deliverables prepared by the project team before passing to the customers and making final report for the project after completion.
REQUIREMENTS
1. College education or above, in engineering or other relevant majors.
2. 5+ years experience in product development and project management, and/or other relevant positions.
3. Working experience in sanitary ceramics is a must.
4. Knowledge in ASME and IAPMO standards is required.
5. Good English Language skills, with listening, oral, reading and writing ability.
6. High report writing skill is a must.
7. Good knowledge of computer systems, high skill set in using Microsoft Office Software, i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, AutoCAD and/or others.
8. Well organized and self-disciplined.
9. Hard working, responsible, and a good team player.
10. Comes with superior project management skills.
11. Must possess a high degree of integrity.
