Reports to : Product Development Manager
THE COMPANY
We are an up & coming world class supply chain management company located in Hangzhou, China. As part of our all encompassing supply chain management service package for sanitary ware clients, we are building a product development team and intend to staff it with top notch professionals that can flexibly & satisfactorily respond to any challenging supply chain demands.
JOB PURPOSE
The Senior Design Engineer will be responsible for accurately capturing and integrating the voices of the customers & suppliers for all technical aspects of the product development. He/she will report to the Product Development Manager and is the person who holds the key to convert the customer’s concept into a practical design and communicate with the suppliers. Oversees the work of the draughtsman/team would be his/her day to day responsibility too.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Designing attractive products with ingenuity & superior performance/features to meet or exceed customers’ requirements.
2. Being responsible for the authenticity, design timelines, performance, and overall attractiveness of the products.
3. Communicating the product design with suppliers, providing technical advice to solve the difficulties encountered during product development.
4. Creating and maintaining technical specifications.
5. Providing technical advice to the QA sub-division to incorporate the testing concern.
6. Evaluating the impacts of design changes.
REQUIREMENTS
1. College education or above, in engineering or other relevant majors. Mechanical Engineering degree is preferred.
2. At least 5 years sanitary ceramics new product development experience.
3. Must be comfortable using Pro/E and AutoCAD to produce new - and edit existing - technical drawings.
4. Must have reasonable English language skills as regards to
•； aural comprehension,
•； reading comprehension,
•； verbal skills and
•； technical writing ability.
5. Have a good working knowledge of ASME and IAPMO standards.
6. Good working knowledge and high skill of using the Microsoft Office Suite, i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
7. Well organized and self-disciplined.
8. Healthy, have robust stamina, and be able to handle a physically demanding workload.
9. Hard working, responsible and a good team player.
10. Must possess a high degree of integrity.
